Summary:

These wonderful hotspots are about 300 kilometers SE from Buenos Aires, in the geographical outer limit of La Plata river's estuary.

We will visit this place right in the heart of the Argentinian Pampas and have a contact with its birds and the traditional Gauchos.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Drive (Buenos Aires – Punta Rasa) birding at Punta Rasa reserve looking for plovers, sandpipers, and all the shorebirds, in the afternoon we will travel to Punta Indio. Night at Punta Indio.
  • Day 2: Parque Costero Sur (UNESCO Reserve) we will be birding in this fantastic reserve, looking for the pampas specialties, our principal objective is the Greater Rhea and more than 200 other bird species! This place gives us the possibility to enjoy a wonderful “gaucho” cultural experience, greats moments and tasty local food!
