Misiones province, in NE Argentina is one of the top destinations in the world for butterflies and dragonflies lovers.
From October to March, hundreds of butterfly species cover fill the forest with their spectacular colors in a magical parade! We will visit key areas for butterflies and dragonflies near the fantastic Iguazú Falls.
Get your camera ready for a once in a lifetime experience!
Itinerary:
- Day 1: Iguazú National Park. We will use the early morning to visit the falls balconies and enjoy this spectacular Falls. In mid-morning after the sun heats up, we will walk one of the best butterfly trails of the park, ending in the world-famous Devil´s Throat. In the afternoon we will visit a different environment within the park, looking for grassland and forest species. Night at Iguazú.
- Day 2: After a nice breakfast at the hotel, we will drive through the 101 road, a 40 kms unpaved road that goes through the Iguazú National Park. We will have a nice pic-nic lunch at the park and in the afternoon we will reach the Karadya Birding Lodge. Night at the Lodge.
- Day 3: Full day at the Karadya Birding Lodge. Night at the Lodge.
- Day 4: Drive to Iguazú. Quick stop at Urugua-í Park. End of the trip.
